Israel - Emerging from the underground with intensity, purpose, and zero compromise, one-woman force Nicarus has unleashed her new EP, “Degree Of Doneness,” via GreenMuzic. Alongside the release comes the official music video for “Vegan,” one of the standout tracks from the new EP.

Blending post-grunge grit, stoner rock weight, blackened atmosphere, and alternative edge, Nicarus continues to carve out her own lane with a sound that is as unpredictable as it is deeply personal. Fans of Neurosis, Deftones, and Foo Fighters may find familiar territory here, but Nicarus has created something unmistakably her own.

At its core, “Degree Of Doneness” is a reflection of pressure, survival, transformation, and the reality of living through turbulent times. It is heavy, honest, and unapologetically raw. This is music that hits straight in the chest and lingers long after the final note fades.

The track and video are part of a larger body of work born from an intensely personal and immediate creative process. Rather than chasing trends or following a predetermined formula, Nicarus embraces the raw emotion and urgency that have become central to her music.

Nicarus isn’t simply another studio project. She is a fully independent artist who has been building her vision since 2017, handling every aspect of her work from writing and performing to producing and engineering.

Her journey has taken her across the globe, including recording drums at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Sanford Parker and sessions at Urban Sound Studio in Norway, while continuing to develop her sound in her own GreenLab studio in Israel.

And she doesn't stop at recording.

Nicarus also performs her material live as a complete one-woman band , armed with full gear and amplifiers. Her unique “Re-Amping” live show brings the same DIY spirit and controlled chaos to the stage. No backing band. No shortcuts. Just real amps, real instruments, and real energy.

MUSIC FORGED IN A TIME OF WAR

“Degree Of Doneness” was written in just three days during a time of war in Nicarus’ home country. That sense of urgency is woven throughout the EP.

One of the tracks also incorporates a Persian poem as a tribute to the Iranian people and culture, using music as a way to push back against division and create a space for connection through art and expression.

As one early statement about Nicarus’ music puts it:

“Nicarus creates music that doesn't just ask to be heard, it demands to be felt.”
