In a public statement shared with fans, the band revealed that no tangible copies of the album have been produced or delivered, including copies intended for the band and for supporters who purchased or pre ordered the record. Visitant stated that they attempted to resolve the matter privately and professionally over an extended period of time. After waiting and repeated outreach, the band says no progress was made toward a resolution. As a result, Visitant reports they are currently unable to press physical records, distribute the album independently, or fully move forward with the release. Having exhausted other options, the band has secured legal representation to pursue reclaiming the rights to their work. IATT – Descent Into the Etheric Realms: An Exclusive Interview on The Zach Moonshine Show Philadelphia’s extreme metal visionaries IATT are back, and they’re doing more than just releasing an album. I caught up with the band on The Zach Moonshine Show to dissect the album, explore their evolution, and peek behind the curtain of their near-20-year-long career. From the Myspace Era to Modern Madness Formed in 2008, IATT has always thrived on ambition. “We started in the Myspace era, putting ourselves out there and building from scratch,” says the band, recalling the early days of posting Craigslist ads and recording demos at Roughhouse Records with a then-up-and-coming Grammy-winning producer. Over the years, the band evolved from a fledgling extreme act into a unit with deep chemistry, capable of blending multiple musical worlds. “We’ve always been dreamers,” they explain. “We push boundaries and swing for the fences with everything we do. Crafting Chaos and Cinematic Metal One of the album’s most striking elements is its orchestral and progressive touch. “We worked with Deidre Mallory from Gong on flute,” the band shares. “It’s part of the cinematic layer that elevates the intensity beyond typical blackened metal.” From Spanish guitar flourishes to haunting flutes and blistering blast sections, the band’s composition is a masterclass in dynamic extremes. But this is not just a studio exercise. IATT thrives as a live, cohesive unit. The Name, The Logo, The Alchemy Ever wondered about the enigmatic name IATT? Originally I Am The Trireme, the band drew inspiration from ancient Greek warships—fast, crushing, and relentless. As pronunciation proved tricky, the abbreviation evolved into IATT, now a standalone identity.
