‘Death Reigns’ Documentary to Premiere at Hub City Film Festival, Worldwide Streaming via Thunderflix This November

The first-ever film about the underground metal scene in the American Bible Belt to make its worldwide debut

Jackson, TN – The highly anticipated documentary Death Reigns has officially been accepted into the Hub City Film Festival and will have its worldwide streaming premiere this November via Thunderflix , the dedicated streaming service for rock and metal films.

Directed by Randall Kendrick ( The Steel Garden ), Death Reigns is the first and only documentary to capture the raw, unfiltered reality of the underground metal scene in the American Bible Belt. The film follows Metal Devastation Radio owners Raven Moonla and Zach Moonshine as they organize the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Festival —a grassroots heavy metal gathering that unites a community of outsiders. Along the way, they face fierce opposition from far-right religious activists who aim to shut the event down, forcing the organizers and their supporters to stand firm for music, freedom, and self-expression.

The Hub City Film Festival will take place October 2-4, 2025 in Jackson, TN, marking the first public screening of Death Reigns . Fans can also grab exclusive, limited-edition merchandise at the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest on October 11th at the AMP in Jackson, TN .

Following its festival debut, Death Reigns will launch globally in November 2025 on Thunderflix , bringing this powerful story of music, rebellion, and community to metal fans worldwide.
