              UK-based technical melodic death metal band Monachopsis has announced the release of their second EP, As the Dreamer. Written between 2017 and 2019 and recorded sporadically between 2019 and 2023, the EP promises to be an aural onslaught of technicality, complexity, and brutality with a hefty dose of sombre melancholy and melodiousness for good measure. Despite facing multiple obstacles, including COVID-19, injury, illness, line-up shifts, and studio issues, the band is ecstatic to have the next chapter of their tenure wrapped up and couldn't be happier with the final result. Fans of the band can expect to experience all the pain, misery, and anguish that came from its developmental-hell-style creation process from this EP!
