Richmond, Virginia symphonic metal outfit Symphony of Destiny returns with their latest cinematic chapter, “The Riddle,” arriving May 29, 2026. The track marks the third installment in the band’s unfolding narrative inspired by ancient mythic Egypt, following the earlier chapters “Exile of Horus” and “Rampage (Bastet).”

With each release, the story grows darker, heavier, and more immersive. “The Riddle” pulls listeners deep into a deadly trial inside an ancient temple where three travelers stand before the sphinx. There is no escape, no battle to win, only a single question that determines life or death. Answer correctly and survive. Fail and be consumed by the darkness.

The single was mixed and mastered by Jack Kosto of Seven Spires, bringing a sharp cinematic polish to Symphony of Destiny’s evolving sound. The production leans into towering orchestration, haunting atmospheres, commanding vocal performances, and crushing melodic weight that hits with both drama and force.

“The Riddle” continues the band’s push toward a larger conceptual vision, expanding their mythological storytelling while refining their symphonic metal identity. It stands as another key step toward their upcoming EP Heroes of Egypt , a project that promises to further explore ancient legend through modern metal intensity.
