Ashes Awaken Rise with Debut Album and New Video “Amazing Grace, Again”

Christian metal is getting a powerful new voice with Ashes Awaken , and they’re starting 2026 with a bang. The Pittsburgh-based band is releasing their highly anticipated debut album, Rise , on February 6, 2026 , and they’ve just premiered the autobiographical single and official video, “Amazing Grace, Again.”

Frontman Michael Stover wrote the song to encapsulate the album’s heart: redemption, resilience, and the transformative power of Christ’s love. “If I had to pick one song from the album that told the entire story of my redemption through Christ, this one is it,” Stover says. “It’s real. It’s raw. It’s uplifting and hopeful. I owe it all to Jesus.”

“Amazing Grace, Again” is a metal powerhouse that charts a journey from darkness into light. The lyrics confront addiction, self-loathing, and personal demons with honesty and urgency:

“I was crawling in shadows, no light to be found…
But then the silence broke like a crack in the sky
