Wheeling, WV – Thrash lifers Altared States have dropped their newest album Borrowed Time , proving that classic thrash isn’t just alive, it’s still swinging hard. The record is now available on streaming platforms and on CD for those who still appreciate owning the damn thing.

Originally formed in 1990 and reborn with a fresh lineup in 2019, Altared States have been tearing through venues across the Northeast and clocking four releases in four years. Borrowed Time marks the latest chapter, showcasing a sharper, faster, and more seasoned version of a band that never stopped believing in real riffs, real grit, and real metal.

“Borrowed Time represents four years of continuous progress in our playing and writing as a band. It’s our most powerful and intricate release yet, but make no mistake. We’re just getting started,” says guitarist Mike Tronka .

The album was recorded at Aardvark Productions in Stebenville, OH and captures the band’s no compromise style. No trendy production gloss, no shortcuts, just pure thrash cut to the bone the way it’s always been done.

Altared States is Matthias Horvath (vocals) , Mike Tronka (guitars) , Keith Loeffler (bass) , and Tim Markle (drums) with management by Wendy Tronka .

Altared States have been in the trenches for decades and there’s zero sign of them hanging it up. The wheels keep turning. The riffs keep coming. Thrash survives because bands like this refuse to quit.
