PSYC 6 Unleashes Two-Track Single “Swallow The Pill” / “Mental State Creation” – Out October 31, 2025

Melodic groove metal force PSYC 6 is back and sharper than ever with their latest two-track single, Swallow The Pill (A-side) backed by Mental State Creation (B-side), set to hit digital platforms on October 31, 2025 . Following a whirlwind 2025, the Swedish outfit continues to deliver heavy, thought-provoking music with their signature sonic aggression.

Since being crowned Band of the Month in July 2024 , PSYC 6 has undergone a lineup evolution, welcoming Roger Andersson on lead guitar and Denize Mathisson on bass. Their addition has revitalized the band both onstage and in the studio, allowing PSYC 6 to push their creative boundaries. The band has returned to live performances with a vengeance, culminating in a high-energy outdoor set as the opening act for the recurring prelude event to Sweden Rock Festival.

The new single was produced and mixed by former lead guitarist Josh Smeeton and mastered by Marcus “Mackan” Alfsson of MWC Studios in Karlskrona. Alongside the audio release, PSYC 6 has recorded a music video for the title track Swallow The Pill , dropping simultaneously on the band’s YouTube page.

Swallow The Pill takes aim at the modern healthcare machine and Big Pharma, criticizing a society quick to medicate rather than address root problems. Mental State Creation delves into the mind of a narcissist, exploring the darkness of self-obsession and lack of empathy. Both tracks highlight PSYC 6’s ongoing fascination with the human psyche and the chaos of contemporary life.

Looking ahead, PSYC 6 is already writing and preparing for their debut full-length album in 2026, promising new material that carries forward their signature melodic groove metal sound.

For fans of Parkway Drive, Lamb of God, and All That Remains , PSYC 6’s latest single is a masterclass in heavy riffs, compelling grooves, and lyrics that make you think as much as headbang.
