This latest release marks BELPHEGOR’s first offering under their freshly forged alliance with RPM, a label rapidly gaining a reputation for elevating the most uncompromising voices in extreme music.
Helmuth , the band’s founder, frontman, and creative visionary, speaks highly of the reunion with RPM’s co-founder Gerardo Martinez :
“It’s great to be working with Gerardo Martinez once again. He believed in BELPHEGOR early on and was the one who brought us to North America in 2006. I look forward to a powerful new chapter with RPM.”
Martinez reciprocates the sentiment:
“Helmuth, BELPHEGOR and I go back to 2006 and I'm extremely thrilled to be able to continue working with one of the best proponents of black death metal art. Welcome to RPM!”
About the single, Helmuth offers a chilling insight into its essence:
“A symbiosis of diabolical black death metal. A glorification of the Devil. A hypnotic anthem of passion, fire and iron discipline. It stands for the absolute freedom to walk your own path, to reign within your own realm.”
“Sanctus Diaboli Confidimus” is more than just a single—it is a ritual in sonic form, calling forth ancient forces and signaling the onset of BELPHEGOR’s next infernal opus. The band promises that more devastating creations lie just beyond the veil.
Formed in 1993 in Austria, BELPHEGOR has carved a blasphemous path through the world of extreme metal. Fusing the precision of death metal with the unholy aura of black metal, the band has cultivated a singular sound steeped in sacrilege, occultism, and arcane symbolism.
From early classics like The Last Supper (1995) and Necrodaemon Terrorsathan (2000), to landmark releases such as Lucifer Incestus and Totenritual , BELPHEGOR has continually expanded the boundaries of extreme music.
Their most recent album, The Devils (2022), recorded at Fascination Street Studios with producer Jens Bogren , pushed the band’s vision further into the abyss. Incorporating multilingual lyrics (German, Latin, and English), ritualistic structures, and haunting choral arrangements, the album was widely praised and earned the band the 2023 Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the ‘Hard & Heavy’ category.
Renowned for their visceral and theatrical live performances, BELPHEGOR continues to bring their diabolical rituals to stages across the globe. Upcoming live dates include stops in Poland , Germany , Spain , France , Turkey , Switzerland , Denmark , and Mexico .
Upcoming tour highlights:
Sep 5, 2025 – Poznan, PL – Klub 2progi
Sep 13, 2025 – Monzón, ES – Black Templar Extreme Metal Fest
Nov 30, 2025 – Mexico City, MX – Chamuco Metal Fest

With their thirteenth studio album looming on the horizon, BELPHEGOR prepares to pierce the veil once more. The number thirteen holds ancient symbolic weight—signaling the end of cycles and the opening of forbidden gateways.
What lies ahead is a deeper descent into darkness: a more focused, ritualistic, and unrelenting expression of BELPHEGOR’s infernal gospel. This next chapter will not follow—it will lead.
The seal is cracking. Prepare for possession.
