BELFAST, IRELAND | JUNE 27, 2025 — Belfast’s unrelenting metal force SURVIVALIST returns with a crushing new single, “Deathbed,” featuring deathcore icon Alex Koehler (ex-Chelsea Grin / Ameonna). The track is now available on all streaming platforms via Earache Records , and the official video is premiering exclusively via Slam Worldwide .

“Deathbed” marks the first glimpse into Survivalist’s upcoming sophomore album, A Place For Those Who Suffer, Alone… , and is a brutal, emotionally charged showcase of the band’s self-coined “Groovecore” sound—a lethal blend of bone-breaking riffs, climactic breakdowns, and introspective atmosphere.

This release not only reaffirms Survivalist’s place in the global heavy music scene but also connects the dots between past and present with the explosive guest spot from Alex Koehler, whose signature roar elevates the track to cataclysmic levels.

"This is our heaviest and most personal work yet. 'Deathbed' is about facing the demons that follow you into sleep—regret, trauma, and everything you’ve buried alive," says frontman Gavin Sharp .

Since their acclaimed 2021 debut VII —which earned high marks from Rock ‘N’ Load Magazine (10/10) and surpassed 100,000 streams —Survivalist has gained traction sharing stages with Chelsea Grin, Polaris, Suffocation, Atreyu, Kublai Khan , and more. In 2023, their breakout single “Greater Negative” brought them international recognition and BBC Radio One airplay, highlighting their lyrical themes of resilience and mental health.

Now armed with fresh material and heading out on tour with Thy Art Is Murder , Survivalist is set to shake the foundations once again.
