Australian rock band Bawden is commemorating the one-year anniversary of their impactful single, “Family Scars,” released November 22, 2023. Originally released in alignment with the UN’s annual 16 Days of Activism for Gender-Based Violence, the track is part of the band’s mission to raise awareness about the urgent issue of domestic violence and to advocate for change through music.
Inspired by the sounds of Alter Bridge, Shinedown, and Seether, Bawden blends rock and hard rock with emotionally charged lyrics that explore themes of resilience, vulnerability, and hope. “Family Scars” also showcases the powerful vocal performance of guest vocalist Dan Skeed, whose delivery intensifies the song’s deeply personal message.
