As a good fan of power metal,I frequent the forums and social media groups dedicated to this genre, and as often happens, what begins with a click on a link ends up becoming a great discovery. That's how I discovered KRIILOAN through one of these groups.

The first thing that caught my attention of the project was the cover, with a perfect design, which goes like a ring to the finger to the power metal that practices the band of high voltage and epicity.

In the mouth of the band's leader, Klas Holmgren: "All good music needs FMG" And that is FMG: Fast Melodic Guitar,and in this exercise KRILLOAN has delivered a copy of 10. Fast, melodic, and masterfully armed tracks by Klas, the alma mater of the band that has composed the entire EP,and in the first versions that appeared of the themes he played man orchestra playing all the string instruments and keyboards. With the line-up completed, the band as such has given a twist to the songs to make them even more forceful, fast and epic.

Alex Vantrue's work on vocals is impressive, with all the records you can expect and demand from a singer who gives voice to such work. Treble, melodies, the occasional scream, well supported by some choirs.

Those who know me know that I am a lover of extensive work, and five tracks for a total of just over 20 minutes leaves me hungry, and wishing that soon there will be new material from the band.

Highlighting a theme of this EP is complicated for me, since it happens at the speed of light and each one is important in the work, and above all marks its territory. The devilish Into the Storm,the most cheerful Yggdrasil,and perhaps my favorite theme Moonblade piece that articulates to my taste the work.

In short, a great job, or more than that, I feel lucky to have listened to an album that still has no release date, and looking forward to the summer so that you can all enjoy this masterpiece that is Stories of Times Forgotten. - The Metal Family

Krilloan started out in 2020 as a solo project by Klas Holmgren. The vision was to write songs in the same spirit as the melodic power metal-, and heavy metal bands of the late nineties-early 2000: s. High speed, soaring guitar solos, thundering drums and no keyboard solos! Based around composer and guitarist, Klas Holmgren from Sweden, Krilloan quickly grew into something larger than it was meant to be. One year later, the project now features members from all over the world with Klas and long-time friend Steve Brockmann as the core. The project revolves around classic metal themes with fantasy lyrics and the debut EP, Stories Of Times Forgotten was released on May 21. In late 2020 Krilloan joined forces with Stormwarrior main man Lars Ramcke and Piet Sielck of Iron Savior who agreed to mix and master the album, Krilloan managed to get the sound they were looking for. When Felipe Machado Franco agreed to paint the cover art, they had all the pieces of the puzzle to bring the vision to life. The single “Fireborn” was released a month earlier and has been played on metal radio stations all over the world. The EP has been well received and there have been positive reviews from the international metal press. Locally in Sweden, Krilloan has done several interviews and there has been a lot of press coverage.
