In June, when Andre Matos's passing was a year old, many bands released beautiful tributes, and it fell to the gauchos of RAGE IN MY EYES one of the most beautiful demonstrations of affection for the Maestro, producing a lyric video of a song created especially for the musician , titled ′′ I Don't Want to Say Goodbye ". Released initially only on Youtube, now it's the turn for digital platforms to receive tribute in single format, already made available on Spotify, Deezer and such. The chosen date for the single release on platforms also coincides with the birth date of Andre Matos, September 14, 1971.
Jonathas Pozo (vocals), Magnus Wichmann and Leo Nunes (guitars), Pedro Fauth (bass) and Francis Cassol (drums) not only created an unreleased song for the tribute but also featured the help of about 100 fans, who sent photos to make the lyric video, produced by Carlos Fides, from 100 Photos provided by from are also inserted in the video. All the material was received with great affection and as drummer Francis Cassol remembered, they made all the difference: ′′ We know how dear Andre was among the fans, and rely on the collaboration of these fans and Smirnoff with beautiful photos is what differentiated the project. Andre's entire work influenced each one of us, and we're sure he'd approve our honest tribute. We are also happy for the receptivity of Andre's relatives, who greatly liked our work ".
Now available on all digital platforms with an inspired illustration by graphic artist Joao Duarte on his cover, ′′ I Don't Want to Say Goodbye ′′ makes the bridge between the one-year anniversary of release of the album ′′ Ice Cell ", took place in August, and one year of their launch show, when they shared the stage with Iron Maiden on October 09 at the Arena do Grêmio. The memorable presentation is still a subject on the wheels of conversations of the group, which due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, and as well as all the bands around the world, had their jobs stopped abruptly.
