The feature showcases the band’s crushing, slow-burning brand of doom and marks a major milestone leading up to the album’s December 1 release. Decibel set the tone perfectly in their premiere description, calling the record a dose of “dank, depressive doom” and praising the trio for delivering eight “bleak doomscapes of dread and darkness” that lumber forward with relentless weight. With every track clocking well past the five-minute mark, Blessing of the Damned offers a full immersion into Hexjakt’s world of ritual gloom and unyielding heaviness. Recorded at Kingstreet Studio in August 2025 and mixed and mastered by Joona Hassinen at Studio Underjord, the album will be released on both vinyl and digital formats through Majestic Mountain Records, in collaboration with Burning Skull Records.
