YOUNGSTOWN, OH — Industrial-infused progressive black metal outfit Inherently Lost returns with a dark and powerful new single and music video, “Art of Corruption,” released May 2, 2025 via Entwined Recordings . This marks a major milestone for the band, as the single serves as the title track from their highly anticipated upcoming full-length album.

Blending the cold mechanical pulse of industrial , the dynamic intricacies of progressive metal , and the emotional intensity of melodic black metal , Inherently Lost delivers a sound that is as genre-defying as it is soul-piercing. Fans of Jinjer , Type O Negative , and Moonspell will find themselves immersed in a cinematic landscape of crushing riffs, soaring dual vocals, and apocalyptic atmosphere.

“ Art of Corruption ” offers a brutal yet thought-provoking reflection on humanity’s descent into moral decay, merging the band’s signature sonic chaos with deep lyrical introspection. The accompanying music video visually captures the band’s apocalyptic vision, drawing the listener even deeper into their dystopian world.

“In a world filled with endless consumption, it’s not hard to imagine why we are all Inherently Lost,” reflects frontman and producer Mark Moats , who also engineered the track under the Entwined Recordings banner.

Since their debut EP “Our Last Midnight” dropped at the onset of the global pandemic in March 2020—eerily prophetic in its themes—Inherently Lost has built a reputation for their genre-bending approach and uncompromising artistic vision. From magazine features in Germany’s Legacy Magazine , Metal Hammer Portugal , and Zero Tolerance UK , to radio appearances on 100.7 WMMS The Buzzard’s “2 Hours To Midnight” , the band has steadily gained a loyal international following.
