Founding member of Marilyn Manson, Scott Putesky, most famously known as Daisy Berkowitz has died at age 49.
According to the San Antonio Current, the guitarist passed away after fighting stage four colon cancer since being diagnosed in 2013, which Putesky Revealed in a Facebook post.
Putesky helped bring Marilyn Manson's early records to life, including Portrait of An American Family and Smells Like Children, being responsible for some of the most iconic guitar work from the band in songs like "Sweet Dreams," "Lunchbox," and "Cake and "Sodomy."
After departing Marilyn Manson in 1996 due to creative differences in the writing of Antichrist Superstar, Putesky went on to join Jack Off Jill, Godhead, and his own band Three Ton Gate. Jack Off Jill posted to Facebook, writing "Saying good bye to Scoot, friend, band mate, artist, hero...RIP Scott - 'always touched by your presence dear.'"
