Interview with Arno of DAY OF THE BEAST by Kelly Tee and Dave Wolff

Day Of The Beast is a band from Dunkirk, France influenced by first wave black and death metal (Hellhammer, Venom, Bathory etc). The band formed in May-July 2017 and released their debut EP “First Invocation” in December 2018. If you like Witchery and The Crown you’ll want to listen to it since it has the sacrilegious energy of those bands in the 1990s. Musically inspired by horror films and satanic books, Day Of The Beast explore the darker side of humanity much like Celtic Frost on “Morbid Tales.” “Perversion de Sade,” their ode to author and philosopher Donatien Alphonse François (aka Marquis de Sade) was written after they researched his work and decided it fits their ideas. The band is working on material for a full length album which will continue the path they forged with the EP. A review of “First Invocation” and the band’s interview (a first time ever collaboration with Dave Wolff and reviewer Kelly Tee) are linked below.
