Finnish Hard & Heavy Outfit Unleashes Nine-Track Conceptual Album, Featured in Metal Injection's Weekly Injection

Joensuu, Finland | Finnish hard and heavy outfit Rhino Proof officially release their new studio album, Light, Dark, The End, today, November 6, 2026, via Astral Haven Records.

The nine-track album marks an important new chapter for the band, combining muscular hard rock, heavy metal, memorable melodies, and commanding vocals into a conceptual release built around a four-part storyline. Moving between crushing riffs, melodic passages, and ballad-like moments, the record delivers a diverse but cohesive listening experience.

The album's arrival follows the release of the lead single "Play by the Rules," accompanied by an official music video.

The album's title reflects the personal experiences and challenges guitarist and songwriter Rane Riikonen encountered throughout its creation. What began as a lengthy and sometimes difficult recording process ultimately became the foundation for a record exploring different moods, experiences, and stages of life.

Vocalist Jukka Nummi describes the finished album as a collection of distinct songs that come together as a unified whole, ranging from heavy, pounding tracks to more melodic and ballad-inspired material.

Originally formed in Joensuu, Finland, in 2016, Rhino Proof made their mark with their self-titled 2018 debut album, earning international attention and landing in the Top 5 of Hard Rock Highlights lists in both Italy and Portugal.

The band continues to build its international presence, recently appearing in Decibel Magazine Issue #263 as part of a Metal Devastation Radio feature.
