South Florida progressive metal band NOM∀DIC has released the first new track, titled “I’ve Known You For So Long But Know Nothing About You,” from their long-awaited debut full-length album, “Euphoria,” that’s due out April 17th via Forerunner Recordings. The song is accompanied by an intense new video, which first appeared at MetalInjection.net last Friday, and can now be viewed at
Commenting on the new song, vocalist James Lewis says, “‘I’ve Known You...’ is one of my personal favorites from ‘Euphoria’. It is our bassist, Riley’s, first full song contribution to the album, and ended up leading the sonic direction for the rest of the album. The inspiration for the song came from a conversation with an old best friend of mine - he opened up to me with some very personal issues that made me view him in a new light, and I realized that I didn’t really know anything about one of my closest friends - and this inspired a lot of introspection. So, I texted him “I’ve known you for so long but know nothing about you”, alas inspiring the song title.”

NOM∀DIC’s upcoming album will be their first full-length following a string of singles like “Nexus,” “dysmorphia (i’m so sorry)” and “The VVitch” as well as an EP, Horror, that catapulted the band into the death metal scene as one of its next rising bands. Known for their crushing riffs and positive lyrical messages, the band looks to further establish themselves as South Florida’s next breakout success.
