NEW YEARS DAY RELEASE "SKELETONS" AHEAD OF UK HEADLINE TOUR

New Years Day release 'Skeletons', their third single taken from their studio album 'Unbreakable' released last year.

"'Skeletons' is about wanting to know all the parts of someone, even the parts they deem to be negative. It's saying that when you are into someone, you're into ALL of them, and want to love the dark in them as well as the light. It's a fun rock song with a heavy riff intro, a bouncy lead vocal line, and a soaring chorus." - Ash Costello (vocals)

Their flawless release, Unbreakable produced by Mitchell Marlow (All That Remains, In This Moment) and Scott Stevens (Halestorm, Shinedown & American Authors) trended #1 on the iTunes rock chart, celebrated over 15 weeks on Billboard’s Current Hard Music Albums Chart. The album surpassed 16 million global streams, establishing New Years Day as a force to be reckoned with. New Years Day celebrates a 10+ year career with over 60 million global streams, 38 million YouTube views & top 20 Billboard Mainstream Rock Charting hits.

Right after wrapping up their UK & European tour supporting Halestorm and In This Moment, NEW YEARS DAY are happy to announce their own headlining tour throughout UK and Europe in February and early March 2020.

Ash Costello (vocals) comments: “We are so excited to headline in the UK and Europe for real!!! We loved being the opener for Halestorm and In This Moment, but we are ready now to bring the full NEW YEARS DAY experience to our extended UK and Europe family!”

Press Raves for “Unbreakable”:

“California metallers NEW YEARS DAY update themselves on expansive fourth album.” – Kerrang!

“As ‘Unbreakable’ shifts between super-charged anthems and rock-radio polish, everything feels undeniably bigger in the merry misfits’ arsenal.” – Metal Hammer UK

“Four albums in, NEW YEARS DAY keep up with their gothic roots on ‘Unbreakable’, including horror-like synths and passion from a broken heart. Songs such as ‘Shut Up’ and ‘MissUnderstood’ show off deep-cutting lyrics and vocalist Ash Costello’s resiliency to prevent life from destroying her spirit. Backed by a mix of punk, rock and metal, the album is a reinvention of the outfit’s discography—still in your face but with more pop grit.” – (The 50 Best Albums Of 2019 In Alternative, Punk, Alt-Pop and beyond) Altpress

“The best album from the band to date.” – Tattoo.com
