RANDY RHOADS Music Gear Stolen

Music gear that once belonged to legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads was reportedly stolen from North Hollywood, California's Musonia School Of Music , which was founded more than 70 years ago by Randy 's mother, Delores Rhoads .

The news of the burglary was broken by Randy 's sister, Kathy Rhoads-D'Argenzio , in a post on her Instagram . She wrote: "My heart is BROKEN. Some one broke into Our beloved Musonia .... And"Stoled History" Everything is being assessed and under investigation. So no post as yet to exactly what was taken. I'm just at a loss for words right now. So very sad ."

The administrator of The Randy Rhoads Society Facebook page offered up more information after speaking with Kathy , writing: "I've been informed that someone has broken into MUSONIA and stolen Delores Rhoads instruments & some of Randy 's QUIET RIOT gear! Completely unbelievable that someone would do this to the Rhoads family whom are always there for the fans and are very friendly and approachable. Totally blows me away! I have been asked by Kathy Rhoads to put this info out there, especially to the people in LA. We hope that someone will maybe hear something or maybe be of help acquiring the stuff back for Kathy Rhoads & family.

"I was told by Kathy that they can't really give too much info as of right now due to an active investigation. Regardless it's very sad to hear as Randy & Delores are no longer with us which makes these stolen items priceless and irreplaceable. I will pass on more info as I get it . Any help finding info or the stolen items is much appreciated. It's sad someone would do this to the Randy 's family! Kathy is understandably very upset right now."

Musonia School Of Music was founded in 1948, as a place where children and adults in the local community could receive music education at an affordable price. Run today by Delores 's son Kelle Rhoads , Musonia continues to teach local students of all ages piano, drums, and guitar.

Randy Rhoads learned how to play guitar at Musonia . After his passing, Musonia now serves a dual role as a music school and the Randy Rhoads museum.

Randy Rhoads and two others were killed on March 19, 1982 when the small plane they were flying in at Flying Baron Estates in Leesburg, Florida struck Ozzy Osbourne 's tour bus, then crashed into a mansion. Rhoads was 25 years old.

Delores Rhoads died in November 2015 at the age of 95.

Randy paid homage to Delores with "Dee" , a beautiful classical guitar piece on OZZY OSBOURNE 's 1980 album "Blizzard Of Ozz" .
