Indigenous Atmospheric Black Metal Project Unveils New Visual Chapter Following Premiere Through Black Metal Artists

Southern California (Occupied Tongva & Chumash Territories) atmospheric black metal project NORCVLT has unleashed the official music video for “A Triumphant Warcry,” offering a new visual chapter in the project's evolving sonic mythology.

The video premiered through Black Metal Artists , bringing NORCVLT's cold, expansive, and spiritually charged approach to atmospheric black metal to a wider underground audience.

“A Triumphant Warcry” serves as a visual companion to NORCVLT's recently released single “Celestial Tearfall,” translating the track's expansive atmosphere into an equally immersive visual experience.

Musically, NORCVLT combines frostbitten atmospheric black metal with ritualistic ambience, cinematic scale, and a deeply personal Indigenous perspective. The project's sound emphasizes atmosphere and emotional weight as much as aggression, allowing soaring melodies and expansive ambience to exist alongside the harsher elements of black metal.

Fans of Uada, Yaotl Mictlan, Grima, and Agalloch may find familiar territory within NORCVLT's sound, although the project maintains its own distinct narrative and spiritual identity.

“CELESTIAL TEARFALL”

Released July 9, 2026 through Red Nebula , “Celestial Tearfall” is the second single from NORCVLT's forthcoming sophomore full-length album.

The track continues the musical progression established through the project's earlier work while moving further into expansive atmospheric territory. With the sophomore album currently taking shape, “Celestial Tearfall” offers another glimpse into the larger world NORCVLT is constructing around themes of memory, identity, isolation, spirit, and time.

The project's own description of that journey is summed up in the phrase:

“As blackness fades… ancient splendor pours forth.”

NORCVLT handles all instruments, composition, recording, mixing, mastering, and production. Artwork was created by G.C. Logan (@oswta.okwali) , with management handled by NORCVLT / Red Nebula.
