Norwegian metal force MATANZICK is officially confirmed for Runway Rock Fest 2027 , taking place May 21–22, 2027 at Starmoen Airfield in Elverum, Norway. The announcement places MATANZICK on a massive festival bill alongside some of the biggest names in rock and metal, including Dirkschneider performing a special Accept set, Roy Khan, Gotthard, Pretty Maids, H.E.A.T, Michael Monroe, Girlschool, Tank , and more still to be announced.

For a band that has spent more than a decade building its reputation through hard work, aggressive songwriting, and high-energy live performances, the Runway Rock Fest 2027 confirmation marks another major step forward for MATANZICK.

Formed in 2010, MATANZICK has developed a sound rooted in heavy metal, thrash, and groove metal, combining precision riffing, powerful rhythms, and an uncompromising live attack. The band's approach is straightforward: write strong songs, play them loud, and let the music do the talking.

That philosophy was on full display with the band's latest album, Chronicles of the Abyss , originally released November 28, 2025. The album showcases MATANZICK at its most focused and aggressive, delivering a collection of songs built around crushing riffs, tight musicianship, and a raw, modern edge without losing sight of the traditional metal foundation at the heart of the band.
