Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest IV Delivers a Weekend of Pure Chaos and Carnage

Jackson, TN – October 2025 – Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest IV exploded onto the Jackson, Tennessee scene, delivering two days of unforgettable heavy metal chaos. From the Prefest Party at Baker Bros. BBQ on Friday night to the main event at Jackson’s AMP at the Market on Saturday, fans showed up in full force, proving that the Devastation Familia is alive and well.

Friday night at Baker Bros. BBQ was total madness, with The Hollow/Band, Kinda Mad, and Herz delivering electrifying performances that nearly depleted the restaurant’s food and beer supply. The atmosphere was wild, loud, and full of energy—perfect preparation for the festival’s main event.

Saturday’s festival was a relentless assault on the senses, with fans arriving early and maintaining high energy throughout the day. Every band brought their A-game:

Sun Mantra kicked things off with a fuzzed-out doom groove, easing the crowd in with perfect pacing. Their tribute cover of Snowblind for Ozzy Osbourne was a highlight of the day.

East Ov Eden followed with speed, precision, and unstoppable energy that had heads banging and pits rolling.

NinjaWitch took the audience on a cosmic trip through doom and haze, with Order of the Red Horse keeping the groove alive and fans moving.

Ov Ruin from Nashville surprised everyone—they were originally scheduled as vendors selling coffee but turned out to be a full-on deathcore band. This was only their first or second live performance, yet they brought total devastation to the stage and floored the crowd.

Septarian delivered a brutal death metal set that left necks sore and adrenaline pumping.

Visitant brought an emotional black metal performance, closing with Moon Bathe as a tribute to Joshua Nassaru Ward of Voraath. Fans sang along, creating a powerful, heartfelt moment.

Quiescent Mantis  returned by popular demand, once again blowing the roof off the venue with their signature energy and precision.

THE RED MOUNTAIN brought southern groove and monster riffs, nailing Black Sabbath’s N.I.B. and Superjoint’s Fuck Your Enemy! The crowd joined in on Ozzy Osbourne chants for a communal highlight.

Lighting tech Phillip Ray Coopey stepped out front for a heartfelt rendition of Sabbath’s Changes , a tribute to Ozzy and longtime festival photographer Lisa Adkins, creating a beautiful moment with lighters in the air.

Casket Robbery unleashed pure death metal fury, revisiting the “Satanic Panic” vibe from the festival’s first year, crushing fans with new songs and chaotic energy.

Summoner’s Circle led the crowd through a full-blown ritual, complete with the infamous baby Bleetus launched into the audience. The highlight of their set was a rare live performance of their classic song Leviathan , making it an unforgettable moment for longtime fans.

LarcɆnia RoɆ delivered deathcore destruction with bass drops that shook the ground, pits everywhere, and stage monitors held in place due to the sheer force of the crowd.

Frayle brought a witchy, haunting doomgaze set, hypnotic and heavy, giving the audience a brief but powerful moment to catch their breath.

Filth , the headliners, finished the festival with walls of death, crowd-surfing chaos, and energy off the charts. The audience demanded “One More Song!” and Filth delivered with Chin Check , closing the weekend in absolute devastation.

Fans proved their dedication, lining up at merch tables after each set to support the artists. Surprise appearances from touring acts IATT and Autumn Lies Buried added to the communal, celebratory atmosphere, cementing the festival as a cornerstone of the metal community.

The festival’s success was made possible by Raven Moonla for organizing the event, Richie Brannon on sound, stagehands Alexander Wilson, Jarett Ramagos and his son , stage management Colton Hunt and Keith Yap , MC Leo Dyer , lighting by Phillip Ray Coopey , security Jeremiah Lee Keen and Elmer Kemper , the cleanup crew, Guitar Center and U-Haul for gear and logistics, streaming coverage by Metal Devastation Radio DJs Sarah GS, Vicky Grandy, and Mikey Dee , Randall Holt Kendrick for making me sign Death Reigns DVDs all day lol, Vendor Moms and all vendors for bringing the fest to life, sponsors for supporting the event, and merch team Julia Hearn, Scotty, and Carl Webb, and Tyler for helping with set up and teardown.

“This weekend was beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed,” said Zach Moonshine, festival co-founder. “The bands, the fans, the energy—it was pure metal chaos. We can’t wait to do it all again in 2026.”
