FUZZRIPPER Unleashes Haunting New Single “Crystal Lake”

American heavy metal outfit FUZZRIPPER continues to carve its niche in the modern metal scene with the release of their latest single, “Crystal Lake” , now streaming on all platforms: https://linktr.ee/fuzzripper.

Blending crushing guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and 80’s-inspired synth, FUZZRIPPER delivers a track that’s both nostalgic and fiercely contemporary. “Crystal Lake” draws inspiration from the chilling dynamic between Jason and Pamela Voorhees, brought to life in an accompanying music video that visualizes the story behind the song. The drums were recorded by Layne Robertson at Contra Coda Media, with the rest of the instruments tracked, mixed, and mastered by vocalist and guitarist Dusty Mahan at Ripper Productions .

Formed in 2017 in Clarksville, TN, FUZZRIPPER consists of Dusty Mahan (vocals/guitar), Tommy Scott (guitar), Dom Miller (bass), and Joshua Porche (drums). Known for blending classic heavy metal with modern production and 80’s synth elements, the band first captured international attention with their debut album Nightstalker in 2017. Their mascot, Jack “the Ripper” , has become a recurring icon across their albums, merchandise, and live shows.

Earlier this year, FUZZRIPPER released Poltergeist , a concept album celebrating classic paranormal films and TV shows. The band enlisted Jeremiah Scott (Demon Hunter, Destroy Destroy Destroy) to mix and master the album at The Southern Oracle . Following that release, FUZZRIPPER has been actively performing regional shows, building momentum for the next chapter of their sound.

“Crystal Lake” is a testament to FUZZRIPPER’s evolution—anchored in the spirit of metal legends like Ghost, Ozzy Osbourne, and Metallica , yet pushing the genre forward with their signature style. Fans can expect a full-length album from the band in Fall 2026 .
