The Red Mountain Storm The Zach Moonshine Show with Unfiltered Chaos
This past Friday night on The Zach Moonshine Show , Mississippi’s cosmic groove metal heavyweights The Red Mountain returned to Metal Devastation Radio for what can only be described as a wild, unfiltered ride.
Originally hyped as a deep dive into their Black Sabbath tribute single “N.I.B.” and upcoming plans for Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest 2025, the conversation quickly veered off the rails — and in the best way possible. Instead of sticking to a polished script, the band showed up ready to raise hell, crack jokes, and let the chaos flow.
From the opening seconds, the energy was raw and unhinged. Dave Frost (vocals), Jody “Goph” Holland (guitar), Cody Cromeans (bass), and Adam Smith (drums) joked about conspiracies, reflected on getting older in the scene, and celebrated their 4th appearance at TMDMF with pure, no-holds-barred enthusiasm.
“This whole thing’s crazy — we’re honored, man,” the band said about being invited back to Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest. “It’s obviously an honor to be asked back to something like that. We’re fucking honored.”
The show was less of a Q&A and more like a hangout between old friends, full of F-bombs, laughter, and that unmistakable Southern heavy metal grit. Listeners got a real sense of who The Red Mountain are off-stage: grounded, hilarious, and unapologetically themselves.
And of course, it wouldn’t be The Zach Moonshine Show without a crushing playlist of underground metal tracks blasting between the madness.
With their Sabbath worship intact, a growing catalog of crushing singles, and another explosive festival appearance on the horizon, The Red Mountain are proving why they’re one of the most unstoppable underground forces in the South.
