Already Featured by Metal Injection and Receiving Widespread Praise
Pensacola, FL / Massachusetts – June 25, 2025 — Rising metal force Visitant has released the official music video for their blistering new single “FODDER,” the first offering from their upcoming album Rubidium , due out August 23, 2025 via Exitus Stratagem Records . Dark, visceral, and brutally melodic, “FODDER” offers fans a harrowing glimpse into the immersive, ghost-laced world Visitant has conjured.
The video is already turning heads across the metal community with an early feature on Metal Injection , where it’s being praised for its cinematic horror themes, emotional depth, and genre-defying sound. Blending raw death metal aggression with ethereal and blackened elements, Visitant crafts a sound both brutal and atmospheric. The band was formed in February 2022 by longtime collaborators Taylor Tidwell (guitar) and Chelsea Marrow (vocals), who share nearly a decade of musical chemistry. Chelsea’s powerful voice also resonates in projects such as Voraath and The Monster Factory , and she has lent vocals to award-winning video games including Doom Eternal and Hellblade 2 .
Visitant’s lineup is rounded out by accomplished metal veterans:
Anthony Lusk-Simone (drums, orchestration), known for his work with Abiotic , Lattermath , and formerly Pathogenic ; and Kilian Duarte (bass), also of Abiotic , Lattermath , Felix Martin , and Scale The Summit . Together, they forge a rich, cinematic soundscape that pushes death metal into new, haunting dimensions.
📺 Watch “FODDER” Now:
The “FODDER” video delivers a cinematic nightmare rooted in themes of grief, resurrection , and the high cost of defying nature . Inspired by a real-life loss and an intensely vivid dream, vocalist Chelsea Marrow explains:
“In the dream, I attempted to bring my friend back from the dead against the warnings of my ancestors—and everything went wrong. It felt like a horror short from my subconscious, and the video captures that eerie, ritualistic atmosphere.”
Musically, “FODDER” hits hard with feral vocals, dissonant guitar hooks , and a pummeling rhythm section , showcasing Visitant’s genre-blending mastery — melding progressive death metal with orchestral soundscapes and grim storytelling .
Their upcoming album Rubidium promises a concept-driven journey through themes of mortality, vengeance , and ethereal decay .
