Runesaber is the brainchild of Shaynie Rhoads , a powerhouse guitarist and vocalist who infuses the band’s music with the mystical allure of fantasy and the unapologetic energy of “pink metal.” Formed in 2024 in Oceanside, California , Runesaber fuses thunderous riffs, spellbinding vocals, and razor-sharp melodic thrash, taking listeners on an epic journey through realms of magic and myth.

The journey of Runesaber began when Shaynie met Ian Bassett , a fellow guitarist and classical musician, while applying for SDSU’s Master's of Music program. Their shared passion for heavy metal and classical guitar quickly forged a musical alliance, with Ian’s intricate leads becoming a vital component of the band’s evolving sound. Runesaber’s lineup is further solidified by Cory Noonan on drums , with Jeff Morrison handling production and bass duties , and Sol Moscol on bass for live performances .
