Spain’s rising Black Metal act Monhell has officially been crowned Band of the Month for February 2025 , securing victory in the battle of the bands with a staggering 204,975 total votes . This milestone marks a monumental moment for the project, which has rapidly gained recognition for its raw intensity and atmospheric depth.

The win comes on the heels of Monhell’s debut single, "Fade to Dust" , released independently on December 19, 2024 . The track serves as a blistering introduction to their forthcoming full-length album, A Last Sigh of Pain , a record that promises to carve its own path in the realms of dark, unrelenting Black Metal.

Formed in 2024 , Monhell is spearheaded by Monhell (all instruments) and Penumbra (vocals) , two veterans of the underground scene who previously made their mark with Berserk and Kult et Morte since 1998 . Their collective experience fuels a sonic assault that is both atmospheric and aggressive, drawing from the genre’s classic roots while forging a distinct and unrelenting identity.
