The Last Crusader tells the gripping story of a European farmer who leaves his homeland in search of fortune and glory, embarking on a medieval crusade. As the protagonist spirals into madness, he imagines himself as the last crusader defending the Holy Land. This powerful narrative serves as a metaphor for the struggles of modern man, allowing listeners to connect with the emotions and experiences presented in each track.
The album is the brainchild of Joey Mauro, a seasoned keyboardist and composer known for his work with the legendary Italian prog band Hunka Munka, with over three decades of experience in pop and rock music. The project boasts an impressive lineup of talented musicians, including:
