Red Mesa, the vanguard of the new desert rock generation, is set to ignite the West Coast with their upcoming Partial Distortions Tour, running from August 17th through September 1st, 2024. This tour supports their latest album, Partial Distortions, and sees the band bringing their signature heavy desert sound, now infused with doom and sludge metal influences, to cities across the Western United States.
Joining them on the first half of this musical journey are their label mates, Sorcia, who will accompany Red Mesa from Albuquerque to Seattle. The tour poster, a striking design by Joey Rudell of Fuzz Evil, captures the raw energy and gritty vibe that fans can expect from this tour.
A Long-Awaited Journey
“We’ve been talking about doing a full Western US tour for years…and it is FINALLY happening! We couldn’t be more stoked to do the Albuquerque to Seattle leg with our dear friends Sorcia. As we support our latest album, Partial Distortions, we will be bringing the heavy desert rock to your city!” said Red Mesa.
The Partial Distortions Tour kicks off on August 17th in Red Mesa's hometown of Albuquerque, NM, at the Launchpad, before winding its way through Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona.

Red Mesa's Evolving Sound
With Partial Distortions, Red Mesa continues to push the boundaries of desert rock, proving the genre’s capacity for evolution. This album sees the trio delving deeper into doom and sludge metal, creating a "blackened desert" soundscape that is both ominous and reflective. Thematically, the album explores darker corners of existence, confronting loss, suffering, and tragic endings, yet it maintains a thread of optimism—a belief that life, despite its hardships, remains worth living.
