March 13, 2024 - Hailing from the Tar Heel State, CHAINED have since their inception in 2019, maneuvered their brand of heavy metallic hardcore through the dark musical COVID times and emerged as a formidable force to be reckoned within the North Carolina hardcore scene and beyond.  Drawing inspiration from notables like DESOLATED, KUBLAI KHAN TX and ON BROKEN WINGS, CHAINED have delivered a non-stop barrage of heavy hitters since their debut EP, “ Hell on Earth ”, was independently released in 2019 along with singles Lose Your Mind in 2020 and most recently Mental Misstep and Fractured to the Vein in 2021.

CHAINED have invested heavily into taking their music up and down the east coast, clocking in over a 100 shows since their beginnings.  Having established themselves as completely DIY, CHAINED is now looking to take their brand to the masses with a new EP, “Cut Out the Stigma”, and signing with UPSTATE RECORDS.  Digging deep into mental health issues with their lyrical content, CHAINED pushes forth an aggressive outlet for those within the hardcore community that relate to the struggles of depression and anxiety.  CHAINED are a beacon of assurance and perseverance with their brutally transparent lyrics and ferocious style of heavy metallic beatdown hardcore.

CHAINED vocalist, Phillip Gibson discusses their upcoming EP release and signing with Upstate Records: “We knew that we wanted to push Chained to the next level with the release of Cut Out the Stigma, and set a goal to release it with the help of a label that would share our passion for it. Upstate Records is a label that we’ve followed for a while now. We could tell how much they care about the bands they work with and how hard they push their bands. We’re extremely excited to now be a part of the Upstate Records family and are looking forward to seeing where this takes us next.” 

“Cut Out the Stigma” will be released in early summer of 2024.  Look for CHAINED to be hitting the road extensively in support of their new EP!
