Now this five piece from Winona, Minnesota, USA, have produced an EP of three blow torch hot and tungsten heavy tracks that throw everything in to the mix. Groovy death metal, with three layers of vocals, and a machine gun proficient drummer. I been listening to this for a week now and to start with was a bit sceptical with all of the different ideas squashed in to three songs. The first track “Putrescent Ascension” is perfectly serviceable, with a groove reminiscent of Pissing Razors (this is a compliment!) and overtones of death metal and grindcore seeping through. In fact each song has influences from all over extreme metals cannon, and the more you listen the better it gets. Second track “Rebirth Through Atrocity” really interested me, with its twisting Black Dahlia Murder sounds and a bit of melodeath thrown in near the end. So to sum up there is a lot going down on these three tracks, so get in the right state of mind and give it a listen! Just next time let’s get a full album. Metal Digest
