Metallica has announced that they'll soon be making a breakthrough in live performance by playing at a Saudi Arabian Festival in Riyadh. The appearance at the MDLBeast's Soundstorm Festival this December will also be the band's last live show of the year.
In a Facebook announcement, the members of Metallica shared their excitement for the opportunity given, saying: "We're not done with 2023 just yet, as an amazing opportunity has just come our way to perform at a major festival that we have never played in a part of the world we rarely get to visit. We're excited to announce that on Thursday, December 14 we'll be the first hard rock band to ever play at MDLBeast's Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia."
MDLBeast's Soundstorm Festival will run from 14-16 December. Besides Metallica, the three-day festival will include famous electronic and pop artists, including Calvin Harris , David Guetta , Martin Garrix , Chris Brown , and the Black Eyed Peas .
After the festival, Metallica will take a small break before continuing the "M72" tour, supporting its eleventh studio effort, " 72 Seasons ," which has been nominated in no less than three different Grammy Award categories .
