How I met the band: I received this piece Schwedentod from Metal Devastation Radio. I always get curious when it comes to death metal from Sweden, so let's give it a listen and see what the record is like:

What do I think of the record: After a fairly long intro they get off to a really solid start. The vocals have a slightly old-school tone and the riffing is reminiscent of Bolt Thrower, but they still have a fresh style. Nothing has rotted on this lead of death. Nice and heavy and brutal with a great groove that goes straight to your neck, interrupted every now and then by the occasional frenzy.

They released SEVERED as a single beforehand and it was really a good choice. A good foretaste of the album that shows what the band can do and if you listen to the record in its entirety, it's also one of the strongest tracks.

But I like STUPID AS IT SOUNDS even better. A little more groove and heaviness combined with a driving rhythm. I really got attached to that song.

Conclusion: The album is really fucking awesome. If you like a good Swedish death, you should give the band a listen. There's nothing more I can say here, except you can find a sample here: fullmetalmayhem
