Every time it appears a publishing else from the Italian English label Underground Symphony I expect then- sound and a woolly production. It is rare that they deviate from this item-marked, but with Animamortua is actually both sound and production at an acceptable level. I also expect it to be some kind of epic melodious power metal presented from this the company, but not this time. The music that is served we can describe as progressive power thrash. The guys, who by the way are coming from Malta, delivers a decent debut here. It is missing, of course, but they come from all right the. The opening track "Blackhole" is a cool song there the guitar playing is prominent. Unfortunately I can don't say the same about the vocals, which drag lower the impression somewhat. Incidentally, the vocals are not especially ra throughout. It comes to mean- lie forward in "Dark Matter". The guitar riffs and blast-the beat drums work well together and that loud tones often come out of the speakers. IN "Dying Universe" shows them at their best the way. If there was still a good vocal on it on top of this, this could have been quite a bit more the entertainments.

ANIMAMORTUA is a Maltese metal band from the island of Malta. Influenced by Thrash, Power, and Speed Metal, the band's lineup includes Juan Xerri (vocals), Clayton Cini (guitars), Emanuel Portelli (guitars), Steven Azzopardi (bass) and Josef Bray (drums). The band combines aggressive guitar work, melodic passages, powerful vocals, and a fast-paced rhythm section.

In 2016, ANIMAMORTUA made its debut at the Xtreme Metal Assault festival in Malta, and since then, they have performed at various festivals and supported major acts like Blaze Bayley, Civil War, Orphaned Land, and Necronomicon. Their charismatic live performances earned them a strong reputation in the Maltese Metal scene. After releasing their debut EP "State of Chaos," the band continued to solidify their position in the scene.

The band is currently finalizing the new album 'Gods Among Us', which is set to be released in October 2023 via Underground Symphony Records
