How did I get to know the band: Again the Metal Devastation Radio. So let's give the whole thing a chance.

How do I find the disc: Yes, I can't quite cope with the core parts. But I can certainly listen to the rest. Fat drums, leaden and brutal guitars and a really useful singer. In places, the singing sounds nice and old-school, only to immediately return to the more modern track.

HELL TO PAY sounds really good. While the production and the instruments sound modern, the vocals always go back to the beginnings of death metal, which creates a crisp-horny contrast that I really like.

INFANTICIDE has just the right amount of core in it when the stuff has to be in the music. But here there is above all directly into the frenzy and without compromise. I especially like the bass, which makes the song wider, the sound denser and the riffs thicken. So all in all a song.

What I just said about the bass is also for DISMEMBERING THE ADHERENT, only here comes some melancholy and real hardcore punk, instead of this metal cooking. The vocals here alternate again and again between nasty growls, hoarse screams like in hardcore and now and then even almost black metalesque screams. Damn horny.

Conclusion: A very respectable album. Personally, the core bothers me with one or the other song, but I've already mentioned that enough. Otherwise, it really makes a buck. Death lead with core, you can definitely be given that, preferably right down here: - FULL METAL MAYHEM !

Since it was founded in 2010, DISSECTING A HORRID MIND has stood for aggressive death metal, catchy groove, atmospheric black metal elements and has firmly established itself in the Augsburg underground. The actual band's line-up has existed since 2013 after a few line-up changes Armin G. (guitar), Hannes B. (drums), Philip G. (vocals) and Michi K. (bass). After the first release "Go for Vengeance" (2012), DAHM was able to play numerous shows with well-known bands such as Ingested, Vulvodynia, Putridity and Pighead! In 2020 and 2021 the band produced their first studio album "BLOOD is BLOOD". The characteristically brutal sound of the band was captured for fans of Death Metal!
