Today the band Tobias Sammet's Avantasia expands the AVANTASIA universe with the new single “The Wicked Rule The Night” which brings with it the special participation of one of the best vocalists in the world: Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear).

The single provides a first impression of what will be AVANTASIA 's ninth album titled “A Paranormal Evening with Moonflower Society” and will be released in autumn. The song brings with it a lyric video that was animated and directed by Costin Chioreanu .

“I'm so excited about this new album that any other track could be used as the lead single. But after two years, I felt like I needed to get full steam ahead as soon as I was let off my leash. Honestly it's also really cool to know what everyone will think of a less extreme track to start a re-entry into the Universe that is AVANTASIA. AVANTASIA has not been fixed stylistically as everything works with the band, whether commercial, epic, grotesque or all heavy, it doesn't matter: all this is part of the Universe that is AVANTASIA. We have found our own World and many different laws can apply here. Older fans already know this and I have this feeling that “The Wicked Rule The Night” is exciting, unpredictable, new and refreshing, even with the band's trademarks that are part of AVANTASIA and EDGUY.
