America’s healthcare system is utter shit.
Ex-Suffocation guitarist Guy Marchais, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma earlier this year, is selling his first custom signature model guitar to help pay for his chemotherapy. The B.C. Rich Warlock is posted for sale on Reverb.com for $6,500.
The U.S. government could conduct itself like most other economically prosperous nations and pay for its citizens to have healthcare, but nope, apparently that’s too much to ask for, and you end up with stories like this one: someone selling off a prized possession just to literally keep from dying.
The Reverb.com listing has the following description:
Sorry to have to say I am parting ways with my first custom signature model BC Rich warlock. This guitar comes with a hardshell tour case. I’ve used it on hundreds of shows and live performances and in the music video abomination Reborn! with the band Suffocation I also used it in the studio on the self-titled album Suffocation. I really hate to part ways with it but I’m going through chemotherapy and I need the money. Buyer pays shipping
Wishing Marchais all the best in his recovery. Via MetalSucks
