On which label releases: Odium Records has again taken care of the release.

Other releases of the band: For Black Altar it is the sixth split, in addition they have released two albums and EP's each and a demo and compilation.

With Vulture Lord it is the first split, plus there are four compilations, two albums and demos and a single and EP each. I have already discussed their last album, Desecration Rite.

How did I get to know the band: As with the last album, Metal Devastation Radio sent me the songs.

How do I find the record: Both bands give everything here. Even though Black Altar have blocked two of their four slots with Intro and Ourto, the two real songs are not to be despised. A proper drumming, decent guitar work and a well thought-out songwriting are completed by a really good singer. Also with Vulture Lord there is nothing to complain about, as on the previous album you let it really crash with your nasty Black Thrash.

From Black Altar I can recommend both SACRILEGIOUS CONGREGATION and NYX. Both times there is black metal as you would expect, somewhere in the upper mid-tempo with nasty vocals. From Vulture Lord I can only recommend BLOODSTAINED RITUALKNIFES to everyone, although it is basically the same song as BLOODBOUND MILITIA from last year's album. But a good song remains a good song, even with new lyrics. Also HARK! THE HYMNS OF WAR leaves no doubt as to which direction the band has dedicated itself to.

Conclusion: This split definitely gets a recommendation from me. Both bands deliver, even if I wouldn't have needed the intro and especially the outro in the middle of the split. So friends of black metal, listen here: - FULL METAL MAYHEM
