Release date: The album has been available since September 17, 2021. On which label releases: Whispering Voice Records have released the album for you band. Other releases of the band: As the title suggests, it is the sixth album of the band, in addition they have released a split, single and a demo. How did I get to know the band: Metal Devastation Radio is also responsible for this review. How could it be otherwise? How do I find the record: Doesn't sound bad so far, but here is sometimes too much technical talk for me. Yes, he masters his instruments, yes you can reward that, but I don't need a solo in every song, especially if it doesn't kick, but is more interesting for guitarists. The vocals, on the other hand, I like very much. Once somewhere between growling and croaking, then come again high nasty screams. Also, there are too many influences from other genres in it for me. Anyone who knows my reviews knows that I like to rate something like this well, but for example DISTURBED sounds more like power metal in some places, or CONSTITUTIONAL DEATH, which would sometimes be a better death metal song. I like THE EMPRESS AND THE SHADOWSTONE best, because the style mix fits together perfectly. Conclusion: Here I am experimenting too much with styles. Apart from that, the album is unfortunately only average. The 90s Norway bonus doesn't help either. But maybe you're up for it. So take a look here: Full Metal Mayhem

Whispering Voice Records is proudly presenting yet another release. This time from the Norwegian black metal heavy hitters, Arvas.
The band is releasing their sixth full-length album, entitled VI, which consist of 12 hard-hitting songs, including the singel ‘Silent Night’, released in November 2020.
Since the release of Equanimity in 2019, the band has been working hard on material for a new album, and the result of that work has been put into VI.

And this album is the hardest hitting album the band has made in their career… so far.

Since releasing the singel ‘Silent Night’ last year, critics has described the music for the new album as being ‘Svartere enn Helvette’ (Blacker than Hell).

The band promised something harder than they’ve ever done by the band before… and they were true to their word.
