Seattle’s Draemora has a new album on the horizon “Death Rectangle” and leading up to it, they are giving fans a taste with the single “Victorious” . As they have grown over the past year, they have solidified their personal sound and clearly fallen into their groove; an apt blend of core styles that are both powerful and heavy, with catchy chorus crafted for live performances.
Lyrically, Draemora ’s music revolves around personal topics and while “Death Rectangle” follows that theme partially, it has a lot of commentary on global events in 2020/21 and sociological ideas. The single “Victorious” was a last-minute addition to the end of the album and the band feels like it is one of the strongest songs of the lot despite it being written in a single evening. All of the parts flow together and the chorus makes this song a great progressive anthem that listeners can scream along with. Draemora explains further:
“We were going to actually separate it from the album and let it be a song on its own, but at the last minute, we decided it was the perfect way to end the album because it has that great classic formula in there with a twist to the parts that really puts our stamp on it in a great way. We want people to enjoy it live, so we made big choruses and really big recognizable parts.”
Towards the end of 2019, Jared Conellie (drums) started working with Terry Paulson (guitar/vocals) on a new project that would become Draemora . They released their debut EP “Awakening” in 2020 and immediately after its release, together with Ricy Bjorklund (bass) and Taylor Wood (vocals) they began writing for “Death Rectangle” , their first full length. They are working on the next full length, so fans won’t have long to wait for more music.
Draemora is recommended for fans of Wage War, Whitechapel, and Periphery.
