Norway, ie Scandinavia. Fine. Heavy Metal / Hard Rock and the mind goes to a thousand and two things. Only what I assumed is far from the shock of the album. It is not that every day a dumbster will worship the holy soils of his adolescence. And if it does, then what?

There will be a serious reason, logically. It is the phase when he knocks on your door and asks you in an arrogant manner: Do you remember, papara, what you liked then ? And you can not hide from the question. It will be like giving up the most tasteful years of your music career as a listener.

Listening to Brasidas on vocals today, sometimes with the help of Gamma Ray, Queensrÿche and other self-contained metal forces, is extremely enjoyable. Pleasant only? When the melody goes cloud, then the last defenses go for a walk. It's been about twenty years or so since I last heard Mötley Crüe, but the gray ear recognizes them in the "Endless Repetition" intro as if it were yesterday.

The Norwegians play a big ball on their second record (as if we had heard the first). They play Roy Z - Maiden tunes and chords that under certain conditions they would be jealous of. Ok, when they turn it there the vocals bring it to Brasida, but it is the least bad: Judas Priest also has the menu. The modern ones. And when they manage to include everything in a single composition, then the smile pops.

Not the one that expresses pleasure, but the one that is not ashamed to imply how we were slaughtered like that. Masterfully, without a drop of blood dripping. This. The painless. I copy / copy the phase and make it my own. Objections? There can be many. But really, it does not cut me. I had a great time, probably better than the originals. And you know why;

Because I have no requirements from Wail. The revival of an era is one prisoner. The other is that they do it so damn well, that I leave no room other than to accept it and make it a property of my memories. Somewhere, once in a while, the high school military bag washed with bleach with the metal logos, for a mysterious reason, had their own painted. Price logo.

Satire. A word that lost it's weight the day the world became so obscure that yesterday's satirical content became the news of the day. It’s time to step up the game.

Enter Wail

The cultiest of cultist cult bands, a Norwegian heavy metal quintet best known as preachers of the 'apocalypse of the civilized world' as well as being observed claiming responsibility for catastrophes such as global warming, epidemics and commercial radio. They seem to be using their mesmerizing heavy metal music to lure young and old into their cultist organization.

A spokesman of the group has been quoted with the following comment regarding the choice of musical direction: "I’m intelligent. Some people would say I’m very, very, very intelligent. According to my research, heavy metal is the most commercially available, sexy and danceable genre out there. It was quite obvious really".

The band has been nurtured, cultivated and refined to be able to write, perform and seduce on a level that few can assert to. This under close observation of the terrifying and quite flamboyant front man that goes under the name «The Singer».

Wail has been getting recognition as a hard working live band on both festival and club scenes, and the response is usually in the vein of 'International standard' and 'who or what the hell are these people?'. The group prefer not to discuss the latter.

The dust has just settled after their debut album «Resilient» 2018. Produced by Kjartan Hestehaugen and Ronni Le Tekrø (TNT).

The follow up album, produced by Titan Labs studio/Riccardo Daga «Civilization Maximus» features 9 tracks circulating a theme of manipulation/indoctrination as the band ventures deeper into the antagonistic rabbit hole.

Wail has been getting recognition as a hard working live band on both festival and club scenes, and the response is usually in the vein of 'International standard' and 'who or what the hell are these people?'. The group prefer not to discuss the latter. Get ready to rejoice in salvation, tribalism and an oblique glance at extremism.
