Cleveland Heavy Rock Trio Unveil Atmospheric New Video From Upcoming Album Three of Cups

Cleveland, Ohio heavy rock trio Megaton Communion have released their brand-new official music video for “Echoes in Time,” available now. The track comes from the band's upcoming album, Three of Cups , due September 11, 2026 via Black Doomba Records .

“Echoes in Time” explores memory, distance, loss, hope, and the uneasy feeling of watching the past slowly drift further away. The song moves through reflections on days gone by and relationships that may no longer exist as they once did, ultimately arriving at a choice between holding onto hope or surrendering to the darkness.

With lyrics centered around fleeting memories, uncertainty, and the possibility of another day, the track showcases a more introspective side of Megaton Communion while retaining the band's signature weight and groove.

A ray of light all around
Or sit in darkness without a sound”

Musically, “Echoes in Time” combines massive hard rock riffs, hypnotic rhythms, desert-rock atmosphere, and melodic songwriting , creating a sound that feels both heavy and expansive. Fans of Soundgarden, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and Tool will find plenty to sink their teeth into.

The new video arrives as Megaton Communion continue building momentum toward the release of Three of Cups . The album's first single, “Evil Speak,” was released July 24 and introduced listeners to the band's latest chapter, while Three of Cups expands upon that foundation with a collection of songs centered around resilience, growth, friendship, and overcoming adversity.

Formed in late 2022 by lifelong friends Derrick (guitar), Ryan (drums), and Joe (bass/vocals) , Megaton Communion quickly established themselves within Cleveland's underground rock scene through dynamic songwriting and immersive live performances. Following Ryan's departure in March 2025, Ken Gosselin joined the band on drums, bringing renewed energy to the lineup.

Three of Cups was produced by Curran Murphy at Custom Audio Mutation Studio , where the band shaped their latest material into a powerful and emotionally resonant full-length.

With “Echoes in Time,” Megaton Communion offer another glimpse into an album that refuses to stay locked inside one particular corner of heavy music. Dark, melodic, atmospheric, and driven by huge riffs, Three of Cups is shaping up to be a defining release for the Cleveland trio.
