Progressive metal visionary Taethen, the solo project of Julia Kajanto, has unveiled the powerful new single "Paradise for Fools," now available as the first glimpse into the ambitious full-length album Illusory Sensations , scheduled for release on September 25, 2026 .

Created entirely by Julia Kajanto, Taethen is an independent project driven by a passion for progressive music without creative limitations. Rather than following a predictable formula, each Taethen release embraces its own identity, exploring new sonic landscapes while remaining rooted in adventurous songwriting and emotional depth. Drawing influence from bands such as Intronaut, Karnivool, and Opeth, Taethen combines progressive metal with elements of post metal, atmospheric sludge metal, and acoustic rock.
