THE PROXIMA DESIGN ANNOUNCES SECOND SINGLE “DISCARDED AND DAMNED” OUT JUNE 12

The Proxima Design continues its steady rollout toward the upcoming debut album The Door on the Left with the announcement of its second single, “Discarded and Damned,” set for release June 12, 2026 .

Following the intensity of the first release, this new track digs even deeper into the project’s identity, leaning harder into technical precision, progressive structure, and a darker emotional weight. If the first single opened the door, this one kicks it off the hinges and steps straight into the chaos waiting on the other side.

“Discarded and Damned” pushes the blend of progressive metal and technical death metal further into uncharted territory for the project, balancing calculated musicianship with a raw, unsettling atmosphere that never lets up.

The single continues the vision of Jake Morgan’s solo-driven project, built on layered composition and tightly controlled aggression. Guest performances and precision production once again play a key role in shaping the final sound, with mixing and mastering handled by Mike Killian.

Fans of The Zenith Passage , Between the Buried and Me , and Fallujah will recognize the technical lineage, but The Proxima Design continues carving its own lane with a more conceptual and uncompromising approach.
