VALE END Premiere New Music Video “Jaded” Exclusively on Metal Devastation — Out Now
A Dark New England Story Brought to Life Through Heavy Riffs and Haunting Atmosphere
Southern New Hampshire heavyweights Vale End have just dropped their brand new music video “Jaded” , now streaming exclusively on Metal Devastation .
The band — Jo’Rinda Johnsen (vocals), Jason Lawrence (bass), Robert “Jamie” Clark (drums) and Jason Kuntz (guitar) — pull deep from old New England history, folklore and the eerie vibe that comes with it. Their sound fuses the grit of Black Sabbath and Candlemass with the modern weight of Opeth , Alice in Chains and Mastodon , landing somewhere between classic doom and forward thinking heaviness.
Formed by members of several local bands who shared the same hunger to create something real, Vale End quickly evolved from a casual project into a full time force. The chemistry hit hard, the music took over and the mission became clear — write it, record it, live it and bring it to the stage.
“Jaded” is the first single from their upcoming five song EP “Prosthetic Waltz.” The band knew this track had to lead the charge. It carries a brooding intro, crushing verse riffs and a blend of classic and progressive elements that give new listeners a crystal clear view into the Vale End world.
The video was shot in a single day with longtime friends Aaron Lehtonen and Mike Corcoran , using two meaningful locations — At Mike’s “Warhouse” for the indoor shots and Vale End Cemetery in Wilton, New Hampshire for the outdoor scenes. The cemetery, which inspired the band’s name, adds the kind of historic and haunted energy only New England can provide.
The band explains the personal weight behind the track
“Jaded was the perfect song to lead our release. Its dark and brooding intro and driving verse riffs help tell our singer Jo’Rinda’s story of breaking away from a several year long relationship built on control, manipulation and ego and how she turned from feeding another person’s chaos to making music and living the life she’s wanted. This video helps introduce anyone unfamiliar with the band to our sound as well as the New England imagery and history that inspire us.”
With “Jaded” now live as an exclusive premiere on Metal Devastation, Vale End are officially opening the gates to their world and inviting new listeners straight into the heart of their sound.
