Chicago, IL – Chicago-based alternative metal outfit ARTILLERY & STORM are set to detonate with their brand-new EP, A Narrow Escape , dropping October 31, 2025 . Known for their thunderous sound, intense live shows, and a light display that rivals arena productions, ARTILLERY & STORM fuse modern hard rock with cinematic atmospheres, electronic textures, and massive hooks.

A Narrow Escape takes listeners on a sonic journey through haunting melodies, raw emotion, and relentless power. Opening with “Mirage” , featuring guest vocals from Josie Batista of AND THE ANIMAL , the track blurs the line between illusion and reality. The EP also features a bold, hard-hitting reimagining of THE WHITE STRIPES’ classic “Seven Nation Army” , giving it an unmistakable ARTILLERY & STORM edge. The chaotic anthem “wEird” hits hard with themes of identity and defiance, while “Static” captures the struggle of finding clarity in modern-day noise. Closing the record is a stripped-down acoustic version of “Suture” , originally released in 2023, showing the band’s dynamic range and emotional depth.

Formed in Chicago, IL , ARTILLERY & STORM consists of Eric Johnson (vocals, production) , Dustin Alcock (guitar) , Dax Tichy (guitar) , Gordon Schrenk (bass) , and Josh Engelking (drums) . The band’s sound is built on technical mastery and high-voltage energy—earning them a reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in the Midwest scene.
