Visitant’s Debut Album Rubidium Receives Glowing Review in Metal Hammer Issue #404
Metal Devastation PR is proud to announce that Visitant’s debut album, Rubidium , is making waves in the extreme metal community, now officially out via Exitus Stratagem Records . Most recently, Rubidium was reviewed in Metal Hammer Magazine Issue 404 , earning praise for its dark orchestration and baroque technicality.
Metal Hammer described Rubidium as “a blackened invitation to a ghoulish night at the opera,” highlighting the band’s mastery of gothic grandeur and technical prowess. Reviewer Perran Helyes noted the album’s deft combination of spidery technical and melodic death metal riffing with spectral piano , calling it “an apparition of necromantic delight” . The album scored a solid 7/10 and was recommended for fans of Naglfar, Dark Fortress, and The Faceless .
Formed by members with roots in Abiotic, Scale the Summit, Unaligned, Shroud of Bereavement, Dreaded Silence, and Voraath , Visitant channels a devastating blend of infernal rawness, lush orchestration, and technical precision. Tracks like opener Unworldly and the title track Rubidium fuse late-90s symphonic black metal flamboyance with razor-sharp, contemporary extremity.
Bassist Kilian Duarte states:
“ Rubidium is an album that we hope you will all enjoy start to finish. We wanted to make this record flow in such a way that we take you on a journey through its brutal landscapes.”
Vocalist Chelsea Marrow adds:
“This album came from a place of personal struggle. Through lineup changes and challenges, we finally completed Rubidium . Created from the soul and outward, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and grateful for everyone who supported us along the way.”

Full Review:
A blackened invitation to a ghoulish night at the opera
Featuring vets of tech metal bands including Abiotic and Scale The Summit, Visitant invoke an altogether more demonic presence on their debut album. The gothic grandeur of opener Unworldly reverberates through dark, cobwebbed halls, introducing the band’s baroque quality with a hint of derangement, before spidery technical and melodic death metal riffing is locked in a balletic dance with spectral piano on Starless. This incorporation of the flamboyance of late-90s symphonic black metal is gleefully dramatic, but the mix is cutting enough to retain its ghastly texture, the booming orchestration refusing to dampen its shadowy intent. Throw in the melodic nuance of Unworldly’s Opeth-esque guitar solos and the title track’s rasping ghoul choir, like something out of Dark Fortress’s nightmares, and you have an apparition of necromantic delight.
