Prepare for war: Dead Horse Theory, the explosive death/thrash metal unit out of Richmond, Virginia, unleashed their debut full-length WarLine in May 2025. A vicious sonic assault forged in the fires of old-school aggression and sharpened with a modern edge, WarLine is a declaration of intent from one of the most promising new acts in extreme metal.

Blending the ferocity of early ’90s death and thrash with hints of today’s deathcore precision, Dead Horse Theory channels the spirit of legends like Lamb of God, Pantera, Dying Fetus, and Death, while carving out a path that’s unmistakably their own. With feral vocals, relentless riffs, and bone-crushing grooves, WarLine promises to leave a scorched trail in its wake.

Formed in 2023 by guitarist David Givens and vocalist Harry “Harry-O” Warren, Dead Horse Theory was born from a desire to return to metal’s primal roots—raw, unfiltered, and real. Paul Fiocca on drums and Javier Ramos soon joined perfecting the lineup. With a growing regional following, the band stands ready to bring their message of resistance and rage to the global stage.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Javier Ramos at Indoor Suns Studio, WarLine captures the chaos of the pit and the precision of a well-oiled war machine. The album's themes explore conflict, defiance, and the psychological toll of modern life—all delivered with a clenched fist and grinding force.

Dead Horse Theory is currently self-managed and running full speed ahead toward domination of the underground scene and already grabbing the eyes of the big boy labels.
